I don't want a finance degree anymore
For the past few months, I've been thinking about getting a finance degree because I think working in investment banking and the six-figure annual salary seem attractive to me.
I was thinking about getting a finance degree not just because of what seems attractive to me, but because I want to build a powerful network as well.
As they say, "Your net worth is your network."
Building a powerful network will help me build whatsoever that I'm thinking. Whether it would be an investing firm or a startup.
But studying a finance degree in college isn't the only way to build a powerful network.
You can have a degree outside finance or not having a college degree at all and still build a powerful network once you start putting yourself out there—once you start providing value.
Also, one of the reasons why I don't want a finance degree anymore is because I don't see myself still doing it for more than 10 years.
What's the point of doing it if you're not willing to be great at it?
